The Sea Point Hotel is a historic, Grade II listed building, originally commissioned by the Admiralty in 1860 to house sea captains and their families. Today, the house still retains many period features, including a grand, sweeping staircase and original fireplaces in most rooms. All rooms have TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. The cosy residents' bar has a CD jukebox, fruit and quiz machines, a TV and even a karaoke system. A full traditional cooked English breakfast is included in the price and is freshly cooked to order in the traditional Aga oven. Lighter options are also available. The hotel derives its name from the enchanting Ansteys Cove, Torquay, once a smuggler's haven. Ansteys Lea was originally a Victorian gentleman's residence and became a small hotel in 1946.
